SUPERGA are proud to announce their newest seasonal ambassador, SA style guru Trevor Stuurman. Following the likes of international heavyweights Suki Waterhouse, Alexa Chung and Rita Ora and locally, Chu Suwannapha and Poppy Ntshongwana, Stuurman has been selected to represent and curate Supergas Spring Summer 16/17 collection.
Man about town and sartorial maven, 23-year-old Stuurman has created a name for himself in the fashion industry both in front and behind the lens. Ambitious, driven and focused, in 2012 Trevor effortlessly scooped the Elle Style Reporter title for his expert documentation of South African street style. He’s since gone on to show his work all over the world and been invited to shoot street style looks at Pitti Uomo 89 and 90. Trevor has been featured in House and Leisure’s 2014 Rising Star, the Mail & Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans 2015, and Destiny Magazine’s The Power of 40 List. He’s been named GQ Best Dressed Man in 2015 and SA Style Awards 2015 Next Big Thing.
“Working with SUPERGA was an absolute passion project. It was refreshing to work with a brand that allowed me to have creative freedom to create an authentic campaign. I hope to grow and do more with the brand in the future” explains Stuurman.
“During my time with SUPERGA, it has been my greatest ambition and joy to build relationships with local talents who see design and fashion and art and life in the most beautiful ways. SUPERGA is a brand that appreciates aesthetics and striking elements of the world around us. We live in the most beautiful country with people with the most incredible aptitude to create wonderful things. Trevor and Andile are two of these people and I have been so humbled to work with them. We also believe in highlighting the work of these amazing people through our brand and creating authentic, lasting ties with the people who bring out the beauty of our country with such ease” says Katy Ward Marketing Manager of SUPERGA.
